Spring is in the air and music festival season is officially underway. Check out our favorites for April.

Snow Bombing Festival

Date: April 6 -11
Location: Mayrhofen, Austria
Headliners: Rudimental, Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Carl Cox
F4L Artist Recommendations: Sigma, Wilkonson, Gorgon City, David Rodigan MBE
Why This Fest: This outdoor sports and music festival takes place across a mountain resort town. With a great live electronic lineup, the music is spread across multiple crazy venues. The most unique one being an Arctic Igloo hat holds up to 2,000 people.

Coachella Music Festival

Date: Weekend 1 April 10 -12, Weekend 2 April 17-19
Location: Indio, CA
Headliners: ACDC, Jack White, Drake, The Weekend, Kaskade

Why This Fest: Taking place in the desert, Coachella consistently packs a huge and diverse lineup. Festival goers have the option to camp on site or find nice place in the surrounding areas. If your can’t make it one weekend make sure you go to the other.

Euphoria Music Festival

Date: April 10 -12
Location: Austin, TX
Headliners: Pretty Lights, Ghostland Observatory, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Big Gigantic

Why This Fest: This is surely the best lineup Euphoria Festival has ever had. Set in Carson Creek Ranch this is perfect place for camping, lounging and getting down to some of the biggest names in EDM. Euphoria also has many great art displays for festival goers to enjoy.

Old Settlers Music Festival

Date: April 16 – 19
Location: Driftwood, TX
Headliners: The Mavericks, Robert Earl Keen, Sam Bush
F4L Artist Recommendations: Wood And Wire, Jeff Austin Band, The Infamous Stringdusters
Why This Fest:  Since 1987 this festival has been giving festival goers a one of kind atmosphere. This festival includes music workshops where festival goers are recommended to bring their own instruments and learn some tips from the pros. At night festival artists often wander around the campsites and jam with attendees.

Middle of The Map Festival

Date: April 22 -25
Location: Kansas City, MO
Headliners: OK GO, Iron and Wine, Atmosphere. Peter Hook and The Light
F4L Artist Recommendations: Ben Kweller, Madison Ward and The Mama Bear, Leon Bridges, Open Mike Eagle
Why This Fest: This Festival is not limited to one location, but takes place in multiple venues across Kansas City. It is similar to Austin’s SXSW in that it takes place throughout an entire city. It also includes a speaker series and a film portion.

 Jazz Fest

Date: April 24th – May 3
Location: New Orleans, LA
Headliners: Elton John, The Who, Jimmy Buffet, Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga, No Doubt, Kieth Urban, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Pitbull, John Legend, Chicago

Why This Fest: This fest has grown tremendously since its birth in 1970. The mufti weekend seven day festival is the perfect combination of mega name headliners and local New Orleans sounds. Be on the lookout for great NoLA cuisine.
