Lucidity Festival Pre-Party Warms Us Up For Festival Season

Spring is finally here, which means festival season is just around the corner. How do you prepare to make sure you’re ready for it though? Easy, attend a festival pre-party!

This past Saturday, ABunDance, Grateful Generation and Eaviane put on Lucidity’s Los Angeles Pre-Party, a festival celebration night like no other. The event went from 9PM – 4AM on the top floor of Union Nightclub, and gave people a small taste of what they might expect at Lucidity Festival April 7th – 9th.

If you were somewhere else in Los Angeles on Saturday night, we’re sorry, but you missed out… BIG TIME. Lucidity Festival Pre-Party incorporated all the best components of music festivals into a compact area. The event was held in three different rooms all with different artists and entertainment. No matter if you were by the Circus Stage, Loft Stage, or Circle room you were treated to incredible music to get your groove on. From big hitting bass, sexy house, disco funk, and more, there were more than plenty of tunes to bust a move. The crowd was treated to tons of artists all night long that included Mr. Bill, David Starfire, Da Moth, The Librarian, Origin, Worthy, Fritz Carlton, Freddy Be, DJ Holly Adams, Bounce House, Huxley Anne, Asteroids and Earthquakes, Peewhee, Lo-J, Danni G, and Murphy. Each room had it’s own vibes and a crowd of dancers to go with it. One of our favorite parts of the venue was how easy it was to navigate from one stage to another. You got the variety in music that a typical festival provides without the headache of feeling lost.

The party’s production was top of the line, which turned the top floor of the nightclub into a wonderland for attendees. The crowd was able to watch talented painters create masterpieces as the bass bounced around their  canvases. It was incredible to watch their process as you saw blank slates turn into jaw dropping art as the night continued. It was also a very intimate setting, as we enjoyed getting to know many of the artists as they chatted and painted.

Although the venue was compact, it was hard to walk more than a few steps before getting hypnotized by one of the epic visual performers walking around the room. Juggling, hula hoops, light shows, dancers- you name it- they had all sorts of stunning entertainment to add to the magical atmosphere. Additionally, if you ever needed a break from the dancing there were many vendors selling incredible heartfelt products across the venue.

While all these factors make up the perfect recipe for an incredible pre-party, they weren’t even our favorite part! What made the event so unique was the people that attended it. Rarely do we see events that attract such wonderful people. Everyone we spoke to and interacted with could not have been nicer. The rooms were filled with more love and happiness than all the bass combined (and there was A LOT of bass). There were more people wearing smiles than costumes (and there were MANY costumes). And people couldn’t imagine being anywhere else that night than THERE.

If you unfortunately missed Lucidity Festival Pre-Party, you’re going to want to make sure you make it to the actual festival in Live Oak Campground this April. Read more about it and purchase tickets here.
