Skylar Spence’s “Can’t You See” Is A Summer Anthem

In Buzz, Music by John Collins

Skylar Spence is starting out strong with the lead single, “Can’t You See” from his debut album Prom King due out September 18th via Carpark Records. Accompanying the single is a fantasy ridden love story starring Coconut Head from Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Ryan DeRobertis initially began to gain a following under the name Saint Pepsi in the laid back, 80s-esque vaporwave genre. Recently, however, he changed his name to Skylar Spence and teamed up with Carpark Records for the release of his first proper album. Along with the name change came a change in sounds, as his new music is more concise and without a doubt catchier. Skylar Spence is currently touring in support of his new music with a full band including stops at Ottawa Bluesfest on July 11th, DC9 on July 23rd, and Lollapalooza on August 2nd. Don’t let this release go under your radar.
