border, Snowglobe Music Festival celebrates Winter. Setting up camp in snowy South Lake
Tahoe, Snowglobe offers a truly unique experience. This festival weaves a full spectrum of
electronic music with the next generation of rap in a way that says pack extra underwear.
And you’ll need it, too. Expect to be one with the elements while you bounce to Major Lazer
or sing “Closer” with The Chainsmokers. There’s a lot happening in this lineup, and I know I’m
hoping to hear Flume drop some brain ticklers from his new album. In the meantime, I look
forward to Youtubin’ through some of the artists with cool names before I head up there. If
you have any recommendations, hit me up in the comments.
Outside the fest, the South Lake area begs to be explored. Heavenly Mountain Resort watches
over the festival a mere 3 miles away. This monster spans across the border into Nevada and
is where you’ll find me during the day. At night, it’s only a short Uber ride to casinos, nightlife,
and an escape from cabin fever in Stateline, NV. I would investigate the after-party scene here
if you’re still ripping late into the evening (morning, whatever).
Check back after New Year’s Eve and I’ll toss up a bunch of pics and share some anonymous
stories from the weekend. I’m not entirely sure what to expect in the Sierras, but I know it’s
gonna be rowdy.
