Denver Brunch Fest 2019

In Buzz, Food & Drink by Alana

August 25th, was not your typical Sunday, in fact for those that were at Civic Center Park with us, it was the ultimate Sunday! Why, you may ask. Because the 2019 Denver Brunch Fest was taking place.

This year’s festival returned offering all the savory and sweet treats your hungover body could desire. Guests could chow down on everything from french toast and breakfast corndogs to festive ice cream flavors in the theme of brunch and avocado toast. And to add to it, attendees each received a reusable cup at the entrance to fill endlessly with Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and all the other booze they could imagine.

This year, a few unique aspects were added to Brunch Fest. A first for this festival was adding a special VIP room. With VIP access, guests were allowed into McNicholis building to cool down in the AC and grab some other brunchy treats including frozen drinks and endless donuts. Also, new this year, drag queen bingo was added in halfway through the event for all guests to attend. Both of these additions seemed to be super well likely by all brunchers.

Of course, F4L event coverage would not be the same without choosing some of our favorites. While we enjoyed everything we got our hands on, our top brunch munches were the Officer’s Club Shakshuka, Ivy on 7th’s Burrata Toast and Rialto Cafe’s Sweet Potato Hash. We highly recommend you go try these great Denver spots out for yourself!

This year went above and beyond year’s past and we are so happy we got to be part of it. We can’t wait to see what Brunch Fest 2020 has in store!
