Denver’s Westword Showcase is Bigger and Better Than Ever

Denver’s popular Westword Music Showcase returns for its 22nd year this Saturday, June 25th. The event will take place in the Golden Triangle at over a dozen venues scattered throughout the area. National and local performers will come together and play a variety of different kinds of music ranging from electronic to alternative rock.

Not only does this festival have a lot of music to offer, but it provides the chance to explore some of Denver’s most notable bars and restaurants. Vinyl, The Church, and Stoney’s are just a few popular nightclubs and bars that will be used as venues.

This showcase has another unique aspect. It gives the people the chance to vote for the locals they want to see most. Westword polled over 200 people in the music biz who nominated over 800 local bands and performers. The nominations were narrowed down to about 200 finalists, and more then half of them will be playing in the showcase. Fans can check out these finalists and vote for there favorites through June 25th.

What festival goer doesn’t love the chance to help create the lineup? With so many local artists to hear from, we’re bound to find a new favorite.

We can’t wait to check out Denver’s music scene with you, so get your tickets while you still can!

P.S. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite local artist!
