Come summer, August 5 – 7, 2016 in the cottonwood meadows near Buena Vista, Colorado, is one of the greatest music festivals of 2016 – Vertex Music Festival!
To say this festival is the greatest you ever attended isn’t hype in any way. This event features everything an awesome fiesta should have and more. Vertex is the glue that brings together the finest assortment of minds and culture Colorado has to offer: varied music, invigorating landscape, outdoor fun, adventure and games creating an atmosphere of inspiration and possibilities.
Hosted in a breathtaking mountain-valley setting, the arena nestles in the straggling rangeland at the very base of the Continental Divide, along the banks of Cottonwood Creek, enjoying a superior location among hundreds of acres that also include an eighty year old organic farm. It is bordered by the year-round snowcapped 14,000-foot summits of the Collegiate Peaks and Sawatch Range, the festival spot is called Cottonwood Meadows, a recently revitalized working ranch situated one mile from Buena Vista. Cottonwood Creek flows through the campgrounds and the festival site itself. Parks surround the area, and everyone is invited to spend their days by the creek or dancing at The Village in Base Camp, rafting the Arkansas river, visiting downtown Buena Vista, or just sleeping in with one of the Tree Line VIP tent rental packages.
Vertex will highlight the finest of Colorado. It is a community-inclined festival that merges different musical genres, art, and a variety of experiences and alfresco adventures.

Vertex was birthed as a junction of inspiration, and as a commemoration – of live music, of festival culture, of Colorado’s magnificent natural beauty, and of the self-expression and pioneering spirit that each of these beauties awaken.
To whet your appetite here’s the festivals musical line-up: soul fusion band The Alabama Shakes, Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame, the Electronic Dance Music group ODESZA and Trey Anastasio Band, which will be performing two sets. Anastasio is known as the lead singer of famed jam band Phish, just to name a few.
