What better place to explore live music and food than a music festival just outside of Nashville? The Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival is coming to us September 23rd and 24th in Franklin, Tennessee. With six stages, there will not be a shortage of entertainment. From alternative groups like The Revivalists and Fitz and the Tantrums, to rock artists like Ryan Adams, there is something at this festival for everyone. Not to mention, Justin Timberlake is headlining this one, and seeing as Nashville is his hometown we are sure it will be a performance that shouldn’t be missed.
This daytime music festival is guaranteed to offer some funky New Orleans influenced music. Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, and Big Sam’s Funky Nation are sure to offer just that kind of vibe. What are we most excited for? The unique artist collaborations that can only be seen at this festival. They call them “Pilgri-mashups”. Some of the other artists on this year’s lineup are Eddie Vedder, The Avett Brothers, Walk the Moon, Better than Ezra, and Mavis Staples.
Live music isn’t your thing? Not to worry! There will be food and drinks for days at this festival. Local restaurants will be showcasing all they have to offer. Pretty much anything you’re in the mood for will be available like, corndogs, BBQ, pizza, and don’t forget chicken and waffles. In the mood to shop? The Bazaar is the place to be. That’s where you can find clothing, jewelry, and anything else you’d like to take home. What a great way to experience some of that Nashville culture.
General Admission two day passes are available for $275 and single day passes are available for $150. For full details on ticketing and the Pilgrimage Festival, check out www.pilgrimagefestival.com.
