This Sunday Time Out Los Angeles held The Grilled Cheese Meltdown in downtown’s Majestic. Some of the cities best grill cheese vendors gathered to duke it out for who would reign supreme when it comes to the gooey sandwich of goodness.
Participants sampled all the participating vendors and then voted on their favorite. They were also treated to beer from Angel City Brewery, music from DJ Marcus, Tattly temporary tattoos, games, giveaways, a picture booth and more. The vendors included, Richeeze, The Grilled Cheese Truck, Catcher In The Rye Bar, The Carving Board, Fred 62, The Walrus & the Hedgehog, and Tender Greens (tomato soup).
Our favorite grilled cheese hands down was served by The Grilled Cheese Truck. It was called the Cheesy Mac & Rib Melt and consisted of sharp cheddar cheese with southern style macaroni and cheese, house smoked bbq pork and caramelized onions. How can you loose when you combine two amazing foods- grilled cheese and mac and cheese!
