Patty lovers united on Thursday, August 5th to enjoy the 10th annual Denver Burger Battle. This year’s event took place at Tivoli Quad with hundreds of attendees looking to crown the best burger in the Mile High City.
We at Festivals for Life were so excited to welcome back food festivals to the Mile High City. We arrived with empty bellies at the start of the event, grabbed our reusable plates and immediately started our rounds. We quickly immersed ourselves in the burger festivities, while stopping for some cocktails, beers and Little Mans Ice cream along the way.
Once our plates were piled high with all the contenders, the important business began: finding the best burger in Denver. We were very impressed with the diversity of each restaurant’s burger and could not believe the creativity that went into each one. Different varieties of meats, buns, and topping running the gamut from savory to sweet.
After consuming 17 different hamburgers and some heated debate we at F4L decided on our own top 3: Highland Tap & Burger, Illegal Burger and The Original. While we enjoyed all we consumed throughout the evening these restaurants particular stood out to us with unique flavors and absolute deliciousness.
Several restaurants within the 5280 participated this year, with the aspirations of being chosen for the Judge’s Choice or People’s Choice awards. However, while every place served something special and delicious, this year’s winners were:
Judge’s Choice: Snarf Burger
People’s Choice: The Cherry Cricket
After the craziness of COVID we’re so excited the Denver Burger Battle could return in a safe and fun way. Alongside the 80’s and 90’s battle of the bands, endless drinks and of course, the burgers, the atmosphere of the event was infectious as everyone was happy festivals has returned. We went home happy and way too full. We can’t wait to see what everyone cooks up for the Denver Burger Battle 2022!
