Global Dance Does Arizona

Chandler, AZ – The third annual Global Dance Festival in Chandler, Arizona dominated the music scene this weekend in the Valley of the sun. Electronic dance music (EDM) lovers of all genre’s rushed out to Rawhide Western Town to see the highly anticipated headliners of Galantis, Bassnectar, Nero and more. This event saw Relentless Beats putting out a lineup that seemed to top the previous 2 years in both stage production, and attendance.

After entering the festival gates, fans were immediately able to see the Tombstone stage which featured DJ’s Valentino Khan, Herobust, and Datsik who closed out the Tombstone stage.

There was a total of three stages each relatively close together, so the walk from set to set was quick and easy. The main headliners such as Galantis, Bassnectar and Nero all took stage in Bandit Canyon where Global brought one of the biggest stages Arizona has ever seen. Other great artists like Herobust, Valentino Khan and Datsik took over the Tombstone Stage nearby. In addition, there was also a Deep House stage that saw the likes of Mat.Joe, Prok & Fitch and Lee Foss.

What stood out to us was how well the production teams were able to separate each individual stage in order for festival goers to fully enjoy each DJ set with no sound interference.

The genre’s ranged from Electro and Progressive House, to Trap and Dubstep and even glimpses of Hardstyle. Everyone who attended could find a genre of their liking.

We can’t wait for next year where there are already rumors of 2 days with camping!

This year’s turnout was certainly enough to warrant those rumors of a 2-day festival for Global coming in 2017. The camping aspect is something that has yet to be tradition at a major festival in the Phoenix Metro area.

The next festival to come to Arizona will be the highly anticipated NYE Decadence in its second year. This festival will see the likes of some of the biggest names in the EDM world featuring The Chainsmokers, Deadmau5, Porter Robinson, ZEDD, DJ Snake and Disclosure, with special guest appearances by Marshmello and Jauz.
