Chicago’s Tequila & Sangria Festival

In Buzz, Food & Drink by Sam

Spring came late to Chicago this year. The Cubs and White Sox shivered through their first months of play in temperatures more fitting for a Winter Olympics than our National Pastime. But a nervous look at the forecast ahead has many in the Windy City preparing for — *crosses fingers* — the first weekend of sunshine and blue skies. Perhaps the better indicator that winter is behind, Chicago’s Tequila & Sangria Festival is back, Saturday, April 28th.

The always-popular festival offers guests the opportunity to sip on countless tequilas, sangrias and spirits. Attendees will be treated to a souvenir tasting glass and 15 tasting tickets — more than enough to quench your thirst.

Drinks not enough to make your head go back and forth? The venue should do the trick. This year, SPiN Chicago — the city’s premier table tennis spot — hosts the festival and will be serving up tunes from a DJ and bites available for purchase.

Two sessions offer you twice as many chances to enjoy the fun.

Saturday:
Session 1: 12 pm – 3 pm
Session 2: 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
