Top Taco Festival

In Buzz, Food & Drink by Sam

Taco bout a good time!  Colorado’s record high 105 degree weather didn’t stop taco lovers from around the state from joining in on Denver’s Fifth Annual Top Taco festival.  This year, the event was held at Stanley Marketplace in the Stapleton neighborhood and featured over 40 amazing restaurants and over 40 different tequila brands.

The event went from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  The all-inclusive entry allowed guests to jump from tent to tent to sample as many tacos and tequila cocktails combinations as they pleased.  The festival also featured plenty of live music, a boxing arena, and a petting zoo.

Of course, Festivals for Life would not miss one of our favorite annual Denver festivals, as well as serve up our votes for the people’s choice award for best taco and cocktail. After trying samplings from some of Denver’s best restaurants, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites.

Top 3 favorite tacos:

  • Kachina Cantina
  • Scratch Burrito
  • Former Saint

Favorite vegetarian taco:

  • Torchys Taco
